EC team in Tripura to oversee poll preparation
The full Election commission Team of the Election commission of India is in Tripura today to oversee the preparation for the poll bound state. The 6 member team is headed by Chief Election Commission oF India V S sampath.
Election to the Tripura assembly is expected to take place next month and the preparation is in full swing to make the election free and fare. Meanwhile the Full election commission team headed by the Chief Election Commissioner of India V.S Sampath is here in the state today to oversee the poll preparation for the poll bound state. Meanwhile the opposition party congress has gone to the Election commission twice last month claiming that there are anomalies in the Present voter list while the ruling left front Government has refuted this charges of the congress party. The final electoral roll is scheduled to be announced on 12th of January. Today the Full Election Commission of India headed by chief Election commissioner of India V. S Sampath is meeting the representatives of the 5 recognised national political parties here in Agartala. The Election commission team later in the evening will meet with the officials of the police and paramilitaries in the state.
Nagaland election: EC reviews poll preparation

The full bench of Election Commission has reviewed the poll preparedness in Nagaland, ahead of the upcoming Assembly Elections in the state. While interacting with media at Dimapur, Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said, free and fair general elections will be held in Nagaland soon before the tenure of the assembly expires on the 18th of March this year. He said, the Commission is satisfied with the preparedness of the state for conduct of elections. The CEC also directed the transport commissioner to ensure that election vehicles are available particularly for the deficit districts.
