Bangalore will host South zone consultative meeting on HIV AIDS on 28th and 29th this month to exchange views on best practices prevailing in these states for the prevention of HIV AIDS. Apart from Karnataka, the legislators from Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Pondicherry, Goa, Orissa, Kerala and Maharashtra will take part in the meet. Speaking to media persons in Bangalore today, the Union Minister and Convener of the Parliamentary Committee on HIV-AIDS, Oscar Fernandes informed that consultations will be held to discuss ways to prevent the AIDS infection. He informed that the spread of infection has reduced by half in the country, however reduce in use of condoms is alarming.
